Norma Jo Greenlee, njSolutions Principal, was instrumental in introducing benchmarking to the Federal Government. As Benchmarking Coordinator in the 1990's and the beginning of 2000, she trained 4500 state and federal employees across the country. She hosted three nationally advertised benchmarking conferences, presenting benchmarking plus process metrics, and organizational change. She was a principal in establishing the Inter-Agency Benchmarking and Best Practices Council.
During this timeframe, Ms. Greenlee facilitated numerous benchmarking studies for the National Performance Review (Reinventing Government (NPR) program), the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and The Department of Interior. These studies addressed world class courtesy, internal communication, self management work teams, employee retention, handling of complaints, performance management, customer satisfaction/call centers, and human capital.
